Why I Do This Work

Hi, I’m Staci — emotional bond coach, mom, and fierce believer in second chances.
I created Raising Empathy for moms who want to build safe, connected, emotionally healthy relationships with their tweens and teens — even when it feels like you’ve lost them.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck between love and frustration. To want to connect, but not know how to start. To carry guilt after another argument.

Here, we replace shame with understanding, and yelling with tools that actually create connection. You don’t have to figure it out alone — and it’s not too late.

Staci has a Bachelor’s in Social and Behavioral Science, as well as a Master’s in Digital Marketing, and more than 3 years graduate experience in clinical psychology. She has also worked as a Public Safety Telecommunicator (911 dispatcher) for the last 4 years. This background - studying human behaviors, working as a clinician with troubled youth, then taking calls from parents struggling with their child’s outbursts, or worse, finding them no longer alive at their own hands - along with being a mom of 4, is what led her to this calling.

Staci is the author of a children’s books series designed to help today’s youth identify, express, and discuss emotions with the grown-ups in their lives. And she is in the process of opening a caregiver coaching service, where she plans to assist parents, teachers, counselors, etc better communicate with children about their feelings. She has also written a self-care journal for adults with anxiety.

On a personal level, Staci loves street tacos, country music, and losing her voice at rock concerts. She is a 90s kid to her core. And she is now 20 years into her love of capturing memories with a camera. While she has photographed multiple weddings, graduates, families, & landscapes, she is now exploring the art of street photography. In her downtime, you can most likely find her reading a thriller novel, soaking up the sunshine, listening to a true crime podcast, or cheering on her favorite dancers, athletes, and musicians (her kids) as they perform in their various activities.

Staci resides in North Dakota with her husband, children, and their pets: a dog (Nemo) and four axolotls (Casper, Wade, Marshall, & Max).
